Built On Purpose Studio is a photography studio based in Plano, Texas. Founded by Jonathan and Kendra Pike, our studio is built on the belief that each of us is created by God with inherent worth and a unique purpose. That belief shapes everything we do.
We are not interested in making everyone look the same.
The best photographs are not created by following trends, copying what everyone else is doing, or pretending to be someone you are not. They are created around the individual — your personality, your attitude, and the things that make you uniquely you.
Our approach is bold, cinematic, and personal. We guide you through every step while giving you the freedom to be yourself in front of the camera. Because great photography should not turn you into someone else. It should reveal more of who you already are.
Our faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of our studio.
We believe your worth is not defined by your accomplishments, appearance, or the opinions of others, but by the truth that you are intentionally created and deeply loved by God.

Finding Purpose

For years, I wrestled with questions about purpose and meaning. What was I created for? Was I where I should be? Was I using what I had been given? At times, I felt completely lost, yet through every season, I trusted that God was with me, even when I couldn’t see where He was leading.
If you had told me that my journey would lead to becoming a professional photographer, I never would have believed it. Photography had always been a quiet interest, but it always felt like just another hobby. Eventually, I put the camera away and moved on. But God had other plans...
During one of the most difficult seasons of my life, I picked up the camera again and began photographing my family. This time, something was different. I began to see God's presence reflected in the moments I was capturing. Photography became more than a hobby. It became a different way of seeing the world. A way of recognizing God's design and purpose in my life.
Built On Purpose Studio was born from that realization.
Through photography, our mission is to create work that reflects the unique identity and purpose that God has given each of us. We hope our work reminds you that your story has value and that your life is Built On Purpose.

Meet The Team
Jonathan Pike
Photographer, STUDIO DIRECTOR & Co-FOUNDER
Jonathan is the Lead Photographer, Studio Director and Co-Founder of Built On Purpose Studio. He oversees day-to-day operations, photography, editing, marketing, and social media while ensuring every client receives a professional and enjoyable experience.
With a passion for unique and bold images, Jonathan focuses on creating work that feels genuine, timeless, and personal for every client. No matter what he's working on, his goal is always the same - help people feel comfortable enough to be themselves.
When he's not working, Jonathan is an avid cyclist and enjoys spending time with family and friends and finding new ways to grow the studio.
Fun Fact: Jonathan has thousands of photos of his family and approximately three photos that include him.
Kendra Pike
Creative DIRECTOR & Co-FOUNDER
As Creative Director and Co-Founder of Built On Purpose Studio, Kendra helps shape the creative vision behind every project. From location selection and wardrobe guidance to posing and artistic direction, she plays a key role in creating images that feel both beautiful and authentic.
Kendra has a natural ability to connect with people and help them feel comfortable in front of the camera. Her eye for detail and commitment to excellence help ensure that every client receives a personalized experience and final results they love.
Outside of the studio, Kendra serves as a Physical Therapist, where she continues her passion for helping people. When she's not working, she enjoys cheering on her family in their many activities.
Fun Fact: Kendra can spot a crooked collar, stray hair or wrinkled shirt from approximately three football fields away.
Carson Pike
CREATIVE ASSISTANT & PHOTOGRAPHER
Carson serves as a Creative Assistant and Photographer for Built On Purpose Studio. During sessions, he assists with lighting, equipment setup, client support, and photography, helping ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
His calm demeanor, positive attitude, and technical knowledge make him an important part of the team both behind the scenes and on location.
Currently attending Texas Tech University as a member of the "Goin' Band", Carson balances his studies with his passion for music, photography, sports, and family. His creativity and willingness to jump in wherever needed make him a valuable member of the Built On Purpose team.
Fun Fact: Carson is equally comfortable adjusting lighting for a photo session or discussing jazz for hours.
Alexa Pike
CREATIVE ASSISTANT & MODEL
Alexa serves as a Creative Assistant and Model for Built On Purpose Studio, helping clients feel welcomed, comfortable, and confident during their sessions. As our resident model, she contributes a countless number of beautiful photos to the Built On Purpose Studio portfolio.
Her ability to demonstrate poses, assist with creative ideas, and provide encouragement throughout a session helps create a relaxed and enjoyable experience for clients of all ages. Her perspective often contributes valuable ideas that enhance the creative process.
Outside of the studio, Alexa is an athlete who enjoys staying active, spending time with family and bringing positive energy wherever she goes.
Fun Fact: Alexa has a knack for helping people relax in front of the camera, even when they're convinced they're "not photogenic."
